Steve brings more than fourteen years of experience in government relations and issues management to Weber Merritt.  Steve has been with Weber Merritt since its inception in 1995 and has developed strategic public affairs programs and grassroots campaigns at the national level and in all 50 states for some of the nation’s top trade and professional associations and corporations. 

Steve knows how to develop winning strategies and implement them effectively to achieve winning results.  He has written grassroots manuals for member associations, press releases, direct mail packages, fundraising letters, letters-to-the-editor, op-eds, issue briefs and promotional materials for clients. He understands what the client needs, identifies an effective campaign strategy and delivers results. He maintains relationships with public affairs professionals in all 50 states.

Steve currently serves as the Executive Director of the Alliance for PE Pipe, a trade association created by Weber Merritt to promote the use of High Density Polyethylene Pipe in municipal water applications. 

In 1997, Steve co-developed an online grassroots organizing software package that helps associations and coalitions organize and grow their membership, as well as providing tools to facilitate activism at all levels of government.  Steve began his career in campaign organizing and management as field operations coordinator for The Direct Impact Company. He is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.
