Jerry has spent his career advising organizations and executing communications initiatives that influence public perception. By combining his experience as a former reporter and television producer as well as a communications strategist with strong media contacts, Jerry is able to effectively influence the community at large.

Jerry joined Weber Merritt from Oakton Capital Partners, a CFTC-regulated third party marketing firm where he was a founding partner. Prior to this, he was a communications consultant for private, government and business entities including NASCAR, the Movement Disorder Clinic of Johns Hopkins University and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Additionally, he served as director of public relations for USLaw.com and the director of industry relations for TurtleTrader.com.

Jerry’s work in the political arena included four years with the Republican National Committee and the National Republican Congressional Committee producing over 2,000 radio and television advertisements as well as hundreds of hours of programming from both the 1996 and 2000 Republican National Conventions. Jerry also worked for news organizations including the Richmond Times Dispatch, Associated Press Television, ABC Sports, USA Radio Network and Capital Broadcasting. He has served as a spokesperson for the Pentagon Memorial Fund, the National Quality Forum, the National Commission for Quality Long-Term Care and the National Horse Protection Coalition.

At Weber Merritt, Jerry provides counsel to clients in need of policy decisions, courses of action, communication efforts, corporate citizenship responsibilities and public-private partnerships. Additionally Jerry sits on the Board of Directors of the Bowen Foundation for Autism Awareness.

Jerry is a graduate of North Carolina State University where he received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications and Business.  He and his family reside in Annapolis, MD.
