For nearly 15 years, Christy has provided communications and media relations strategy for clients and has positioned individuals, companies, products, organizations, associations and legislative issues in front of national, regional and local media outlets. 

Most recently, Christy spent two years as head of communications of the NFL Players Association marketing and licensing subsidiary, NFL Players Inc.  In addition to serving as company spokesperson, she managed all communications efforts for corporate initiatives, licensing/sponsorship programs and community achievements that utilized NFL players.

Christy gained account management and media relations skills during positions at several public relations agencies.  At Washington, D.C.-based Qorvis Communications, Christy focused on executing strategic communications, crisis management and media relations counsel for nonprofit clients, high-profile celebrities, foreign governments, companies, as well as telecom and other legislative issues.  For several years at Weber Shandwick Worldwide, she managed industry analyst and media relations for leading technology companies.  Additionally, she played a role in marketing and tracking business development for the Shandwick Washington companies.  She also spent two years in the PR and Marketing department for locally-based Clyde’s Restaurant Group.

Christy’s communications career began in the press office of U.S. Congresswoman Pat Schroeder (D-CO) in her home state of Colorado before joining Schroeder’s 1994 re-election campaign team.  She also served as a volunteer on the communications team for the 1996 Clinton-Gore Presidential Campaign. 

Christy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and International Affairs from the University of Colorado.  She lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband David and their daughter Stella.
